SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by your professional safari guide and introduced to Rwanda, the Land of a Thousand Hills. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a short Kigali city tour, including visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local craft markets, and key city landmarks. Afterward, you will drive north to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze, enjoying scenic views of rolling hills, rural villages, and beautiful landscapes along the way. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge near the park.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Volcanoes National Park 

This is the highlight of your Rwanda safari. After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by rangers on gorilla trekking rules and group allocation. You will then begin your trek through the lush rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek can take a few hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Once found, you will spend a magical one hour observing them in their natural environment, watching their behavior, interactions, and family life.
