Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large elephant families, hippo pools, and colourful flamingos along the lakeshore. This trip is perfect for travelers with limited time but who still want to see different habitats, enjoy game drives in a 4x4 safari jeep, and experience Tanzania’s amazing wildlife and nature up close.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arusha/Moshi to Arusha National Park
Your safari begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha/Moshi. You will drive to Arusha National Park for a guided walking safari with an armed ranger, allowing you to see giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and colobus monkeys at close range. After the walk, you continue with a game drive around the Ngurdoto Crater, Momella Lakes, and forest areas where you may spot flamingos and many bird species. In the afternoon, you enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing with more game viewing. Later in the day, you drive to Mto wa Mbu or Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you enter Lake Manyara National Park for a full morning game drive. The park is known for tree-climbing lions, large elephant families, hippos, flamingos, and beautiful groundwater forests. You will explore the lake shores, hot springs, and open plains while your guide explains the park’s wildlife and natural features. After lunch and a final game-viewing session, you drive back to Arusha in the late afternoon, concluding your 2-day safari with Nelwen Tours and Safaris.
