2 DAYS ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK AND LAKE MANYARA N.P

OVERVIEW

This 2-day safari with Nelwen Tours and Safaris gives you a short but very enjoyable experience in two beautiful parks in northern Tanzania. On the first day, you visit Arusha National Park, a small but very scenic park with forests, lakes, waterfalls, and views of Mount Meru. The park is home to animals such as giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and the famous black-and-white colobus monkeys. Arusha National Park also offers special activities like walking safaris or canoeing, which allow you to get closer to nature.

On the second day, you visit Lake Manyara National Park, a charming park known for its lush vegetation, sparkling lake, and diverse wildlife. Lake Manyara is famous for tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and many buffalo and experiencing Big 5. The park also has hippos, giraffes, zebras, and over 400 bird species. The dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment makes the scenery even more impressive.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arusha/Moshi to Arusha National Park

Your day starts in the morning when our guide from Nelwen Tours and Safaris picks you up from your hotel in Arusha/Moshi using a 4x4 safari jeep. After a short briefing, you drive to Arusha National Park, a beautiful park filled with forests, lakes, and open areas. You enjoy a game drive where you can see giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, and many monkeys, including the black-and-white colobus monkey. When lunch time you will be directed to a picnic point to get lunch.After enjoying lunch, you continue with another game drive before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you board your safari jeep and travel to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is famous for its green forest, hot springs, and the large lake that attracts flamingos and many other birds. During your game drive, you may see elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, giraffes, and the park’s special attraction, tree-climbing lions. Your guide will explain the behavior of the animals and important features of the park. After today’s game drive safari in Lake Manyara National Park, we will take a journey back to Moshi/Arusha as we have ended our 2-day packaged Tanzania Safari.
