Day 2: Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater

Day two demands a very early start to ensure a prompt descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and natural caldera, where the focus is on maximizing the morning game drive time within this unparalleled concentration of wildlife. The high density of game makes this the best location on the circuit for attempting to see all of the Big Five in a single day, with the critically endangered Black Rhino being a key target, while also observing huge herds of wildebeest and zebra, and after a rewarding game drive and picnic lunch on the crater floor, the vehicle ascends the crater wall to begin the necessary 3.5 to 4-hour return transfer back to Arusha.
