Your journey begins upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where a friendly driver will transfer you to your comfortable hotel in Moshi. After a warm welcome, enjoy a delicious meal and a pre-trek briefing to prepare for the days ahead.
The trek starts through lush, green rainforests, home to monkeys and exotic birds, gradually rising to the unique Shira Plateau with its wide-open landscapes and stunning views of Kibo Volcano. Each day, you’ll acclimatize at carefully chosen camps while enjoying breathtaking scenery, from rocky moorlands to semi-desert highlands.
The highlight of your journey is the summit of Uhuru Peak, where you’ll stand on the Roof of Africa at 5,895 meters above sea level, witnessing a magical sunrise over the continent. After descending through the rainforest, reflect on your achievement and return to your hotel for relaxation and celebration. Day 1: Arrival & Preparation
Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our friendly team and transferred to your comfortable hotel. Here, enjoy a delicious meal and a detailed pre-trek briefing, where you’ll learn about the journey ahead, the beauty of Kilimanjaro, and essential trekking tips. Relax, enjoy the hotel’s amenities, and prepare for the adventure that awaits.
Day 2: Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,750 m)
Begin your trek at Lemosho Gate, entering through the lush rainforests of Kilimanjaro. The gentle trail allows you to spot monkeys, birds, and other wildlife. This first day is a chance to acclimatize slowly while soaking in the vibrant natural beauty. Your camp awaits with comfortable tents and a hot meal prepared by your trekking team.

Day 3 – Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp (3,500 m)
Trek through open woodland and the beginnings of the Shira Plateau, where wildflowers and unique shrubs dot the landscape. This scenic route offers your first views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks, setting the stage for the grandeur ahead. Evening briefings will guide you for the next day’s trek.

Day 4: Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp
A relatively easy day that allows you to adjust to higher altitudes while enjoying panoramic vistas of Africa’s highest landscapes. The journey moves across the plateau, giving ample photo opportunities and encounters with unique flora.

Hiking Time: 3 – 4 hours
Day 5: Shira 2 to Lava Tower then Barranco Camp
Today is both challenging and rewarding. Ascend to the Lava Tower, crossing semi-desert terrain with surreal rocky landscapes. After lunch, descend to Barranco Camp, where the Western Breach views are spectacular. This day is ideal for acclimatization and capturing stunning photographs.

Hiking Time: 7 – 8 hours
Day 6: Barranco Wall to Karanga Valley
Conquer the famous Barranco Wall, a steep but exhilarating climb that rewards you with incredible views. Descend into the Karanga Valley, enjoying the rich highland vegetation, and take an optional hike toward Barafu Camp for further acclimatization.

Day 7: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak then descent to Mweka Camp
Start around midnight for the summit push to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Trek through scree to Stella Point and witness the awe-inspiring sunrise over the continent. After celebrating this unforgettable achievement, descend via Barafu to Mweka Camp for a well-earned rest and dinner.

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate | Return to Hotel
Descend through the rainforest back to Mweka Gate. Enjoy a refreshing shower, a hot meal, and a sense of accomplishment at your hotel. Summit certificates are awarded to commemorate your extraordinary achievement.
