Three friends taking a photo while climbing Mount Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route, enjoying scenic mountain views in Tanzania.

TRIP OVERVIEW

The 6-Day Lemosho Route on Mount Kilimanjaro is a scenic and adventurous trekking experience starting from the western side of the mountain. It is known for its beautiful wilderness, fewer crowds, and dramatic landscapes that make the journey to Uhuru Peak more enjoyable and memorable. This route is ideal for climbers who want a challenging but rewarding Kilimanjaro experience in a shorter time.

The trek passes through all major ecological zones, from lush rainforest to moorland, alpine desert, and finally the icy summit zone. Along the way, climbers enjoy professional guiding, full support, and breathtaking views. Because it is a 6-day itinerary, the pace is faster, so good fitness and preparation are important for a successful summit.

SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 1: Londorossi Gate to Forest Camp

Your journey begins at Londorossi Gate after registration and briefing. You enter a dense rainforest filled with tall trees, birds, and monkeys. Hiking distance: 10–12 km
Hiking time: 6–8 hours

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Altitude: 3,960 m – 4,673 m
Hiking distance: 8–10 km
Hiking time: 6–8 hours

Day 5: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
